von Karalina am 10.01.2024 22:31I had the best experience with Parallel Skiing school. Ken is very passionate about skiing and the school, all the instructors are very helpful and supportive. A lot of people mention the reasonable price of the course (which is true), but I think the main thing is that the technique they teach actually works! I feel like 99.9% of people can learn skiing with them (and have a lot of fun!) Big thank you to Ken and to the whole team!

von Kc am 29.09.2023 09:49That's an amazing course for adults who want to learn how to ski for the first time. They have a great approach where you make incremental progress throughout the days, so nobody feels overwhelmed, and it's always adjusted individually to your progress. Most skiers can take a black slope down after the full course, which is insane. I really appreciate that I could learn all the right techniques, so that I can stay safe on the slopes now. And the atmosphere and instructors are simply 10/10! Best thing to do as expat in Munich!

von David M am 31.08.2023 14:41When my Wife and I first moved to Munich a year ago we asked a number of colleagues about learning to Ski everyone we asked said Parallel Skiing. Having completed weekend 1, 2 & 3 during the 22/23 Ski season we can now see why. We had virtually no previous experience, I had two ski half day ski lessons 25 years ago and my wife had never Alpine Skied in her life. We found the info eve very helpful and the lessons are amazingly effective. Some of the exercises seem a little strange but once you start advancing on the slopes you realise Ken is skiing’s Mr Miyagi and you will soon realise why you have been peeing on a pole or crossing a barbed wire fence! We went from being hardly able to stand up on skis to comfortably skiing Red slopes in the course of just 3 weekends. We found the prices extremely reasonable. Kens team are all great instructors and everyone on our course were very sociable. My only advice is don’t book 3 weekends in a row as they are long days on the slopes and now, I am in my 50s I could have done with a weekends break between the 2nd & 3rd weekend.

von Milu am 21.01.2023 20:16Parallel Skiing is my first experience ever at skiing and I went from not knowing how to put skis on to do parallel stopping in the first day. The people there are super nice and fun, and you can join later for group ski trips with English speaking friends from Munich you make in the course. The exercises are simple, fun and effective. Thanks to Ken and all the instructors!

I was super scared to ski and any other lessons is comparable to this weekends. And is also a very good way to know new friends and people.

von Siggy Reichstein am 12.07.2021 12:59Parallel Skiing ist der BESTE Skikurs, den ich jemals besucht habe weil ich meine Angst vor dem Skifahren verloren habe und es SPAß GEMACHT HAT! Ken und seine Trainer sind sehr gewissenhaft bei den Einweisungen und haben immer alles dabei, um die gestellten Skier im Notfall besser einstellen zu können. Sehr kurzweilig! Viel Spaß beim Skifahren!

Durch viele lustige aber auch an den wichtigen Fähigkeiten orientierte Übungen erreicht man einen Niveau nach bloß zwei Wochenenden wo man keine Angst mehr vor roten Pisten hat! Einfach super gemacht!

von Tamsin C am 02.07.2021 17:20Skikurs für Kinder München - Unsere Tochter lernte Skifahren in einem Bambino-Skikurs mit Parallel Skiing und hatte riesigen Spass an dem Kurs. Die Schule stellte die Ausrüstung zur Verfügung (mit Schuhen, die ein paar Tage im Voraus angepasst wurden). Es ist ein toller interaktiver Eltern-Kind-Skikurs, bei dem auch die Eltern mit einbezogen werden und die Kinder auf spielerische Art und Weise lernen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Mit der Kurzschimethode lehrt der Parallel-Skikurs Anfängern das parallele Skifahren vom ersten Tag an (kein Lernen des Schneepflugs und dann wieder Verlernen). Sie beginnen auf Skiern, die nur wenig länger als Ihre Füsse sind, in relativ flachem Gelände und gewinnen schnell das Vertrauen, um auf Skiern, die mit jedem Unterrichtstag länger werden, auf die Piste zu gehen. Normalerweise stehen Sie innerhalb von 6 Tagen auf Skiern in voller Länge und sind in der Lage, den grössten Teil des Berges zu befahren. Diese Methode eröffnet die Möglichkeit des Skifahrens für ein viel breiteres Publikum und wird auf eine lustige und interaktive Weise durchgeführt. Ich habe versucht, mit der traditionellen Methode zu lernen, konnte mich aber überhaupt nicht mit dem Skifahren anfreunden, aber durch das Lernen mit dem Parallel-Skifahren habe ich ein ganzes Leben lang Skifahren gelernt, das sich mir ohne diese Methode nie erschlossen hätte! It‘s all about fun, parents becoming an integral part of the course and parents to all the kids on the course. This not only creates a great group feeling, but also teaches the parents how to ski with their kids later on, a great value-add! The kids are taught about all there is in skiing in an entertaining way, with intuitive exercises which are easy to remember and can be easily applied later on to further improve or to refresh. von Liz am 06.03.2021 16:47Parallel Skiing’s Kinderskikurs München is more than just any Kinderskikurs. They call it a Eltern-Kind-Skikurs because they use us parents in the ski course. Not just to hold up our own kids and wipe their noses. We parents helped out with the exercises assisting all the kids in the group. The families became a community, with the parents being parents for all the kids, not just our own. We became Torstangen/slalomgates. The instructors taught us how to tug just enough on the kids as they glided past us, how to put them on the conveyor belt (the magic carpet) and how to take them off. I had my 3 1/2-year old who is a bit shy, and it was our 1st time to be just a little apart, and was a growing experience for us both. On the second day they divided into groups with different speeds and different instructors and went up to the next lift, a rope tow. We were all astounded at how mobile our kids were and how independently they could ski at the end of only two days. Amazing course!Kommentar des Inhabers Parallel Skiing e.V.

I have learned to ski with them, have recommended to many friends, (at least two of my friends also learned in this school this year). Classes in English, so it is very easy to understand. The short ski method and exercises are perfect for adults. The course is also very well organized and the trainers are very good, very patient and understanding. I have even repeated with them some of weekend this year, just for the atmosphere and nice ski weekends ;-) Most recommended!! :-)

And an extremely friendly and sociable group too, both the instructors and the other students. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Having absolutely no skiing experience, after 3 weekends of courses, I've began skiing red slopes and soon I'll move to black slopes. I highly recommend the skiing school for absolute beginners and novices who want to improve their techniques. The instructors were awesome and there is the added benefit of the course being very cost effective.

von Richard am 01.03.2020 19:22I can't recommend this course highly enough. They take you from never having skied before to skiing controlled down a black slope in 3 weekends. You start on short skis and learn to ski parallel from day one, get longer skis every day of the 3 weekends and by the end you are skiing parallel on your regular length skis. If you want to learn to ski take this course!

Went from an absolute Beginner to be able to ski on black slopes in three weekends of the course! Had a sense of community and made many new friends!

von Anonym am 25.01.2020 16:18I'm halfway through the ski course and with 3 days of skiing I am already able to parallel turn, stop wherever I want on the slope and descend on a controlled manner. The environment is very international and all instructors are very competent. They are extremely careful and let change you between groups throughout the day based on your a ability.

von David am 15.08.2019 19:03A very effective and quick way for people living in Munich to learn to ski. In three weekends of skiing lessons, I went from being hardly able to stand up in skis to comfortably doing Red slopes and uncomfortably doing a Black slope. The prices were very reasonable and the total cost including all my accommodation, transport, food, gear rental, passes for all the weekends etc, came in a bit under EUR 1000, so it's excellent value for learning to ski. The course is also great for meeting other English speakers living in Munich and so you can kick-start your social life here if you're new in town.

Das besondere dabei: man lernt mit viel Spaß, witzigen Übungen und schließt nebenbei neue Freundschaften aus aller Welt. Der Verein richtet sich hauptsächlich an Expats, der Unterricht ist auf englisch. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Parallel Skiing made that happen in a fun way and enjoyed the course so much that I became a part of it. Every year I can’t wait for winter and look forward to teaching a diverse group of fun-seekers from all corners of the world.
